A joyful first step into ensemble music for beginner players
The Foundations Chamber group is the ideal entry point for young musicians who are just beginning private lessons or have a desire to take their musical interest to the next level. This pathway blends one-on-one instruction with group experiences to build core skills, confidence, and excitement for music-making.
Students receive 26 private lessons from September through April, ensuring consistent individual growth. These are complemented by two group masterclasses with industry-leading professionals to gain real-world insights and elevate their musicianship. Each student also receives one formal assessment and a private consultation with the music director to help track progress and set meaningful goals.
Foundations students will rehearse and perform in one live concert with peers in their group, with repertoire chosen to be accessible yet motivating. The semester ends with a fun group celebration, giving students a chance to reflect, connect, and take pride in their progress.
This is a beginner-focused chamber experience—equal parts skill-building and community-building—designed to help young players grow musically while developing the listening, collaboration, and performance habits that will set them up for long-term success.
Focus: Foundational technique, ensemble readiness, performance confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
For developing musicians ready to stretch their skills in a dynamic ensemble setting
The Advanced Chamber group is designed for students with 2–4 years of private instruction who are ready to go beyond the basics. This pathway emphasizes musical maturity, expressive performance, and the critical ensemble skills needed to succeed in more demanding group settings.
Students receive 26 private lessons from September through April to support technical growth and individual artistry. These are paired with three masterclasses, two formal assessments, and two private consultations with the music director—offering structured feedback and opportunities for deep musical reflection.
Advanced students rehearse and perform in two concerts per year, each preceded by targeted group rehearsals to prepare challenging repertoire. Each semester concludes with a group celebration, building camaraderie and honoring the work accomplished together. This is a performance-driven group that focuses on refining tone, articulation, musical expression, and healthy practice habits—all within a collaborative, inspiring environment.
Ideal for students ready to take the next leap in their musical journey, the Advanced Chamber experience pushes players to listen deeply, communicate musically, and build a stronger artistic identity.
Focus: Ensemble excellence, expressive performance, healthy practice habits, and growing artistic identity.
Elite ensemble experience for serious high school musicians preparing for college and conservatory study
The Collegiate Chamber group is tailored for advanced musicians—typically in 11th and 12th grade—who are pursuing elite music programs, conservatory admissions, or pre-professional performance opportunities. This track mirrors the rigor and expectations of a collegiate environment while offering personalized support to help students refine their artistic voice and stand out in competitive auditions.
Participants receive 26 private lessons between September and April, four masterclasses with high-level artists and faculty, and three formal assessments. Students also benefit from two mock auditions to simulate the collegiate application experience and receive four private consultations with the music director for tailored coaching, repertoire planning, and strategy.
Throughout the year, Collegiate Chamber students prepare and perform in three concerts, showcasing advanced repertoire that challenges both technical and expressive boundaries. From chamber classics to modern compositions, the experience deepens musicianship while developing audition readiness, stamina, and storytelling through sound.
This is a high-intensity, high-touch program designed to launch students into the next stage of their musical journey—confident, prepared, and connected to their unique artistic identity.
Focus: Skill excellence, audition readiness, stamina, musical storytelling, and college/conservatory preparation.
