OUR SHARED PHILOSOPHY AND VALUES
We love our tutors!
RELATIONSHIPS ARE KEY
Our work is rooted in relationships. We get to know our students and families on a personal level—we attend sporting events to cheer on our students, join our families for dinner, and stay after tutoring sessions from time to time to play a round of basketball in the driveway. It makes our day to receive texts with excitement about an awesome grade on a big test. We love celebrating your child’s success with you. The genuine relationships we build with our families have a lasting impact—in many cases, far beyond the time we tutor your child.
LEARNING IS PERSONALIZED
We do not use a cookie-cutter curriculum or a one-size-fits-all approach to teaching and learning. We start by assessing student learning needs and goals. Then, we develop lesson plans and tailor approach in order to meet the unique needs of each student.
ALL STUDENTS CAN THRIVE
We believe all children can excel academically, regardless of their unique learning needs, their current standing in school, or their socioeconomic status.
MEASUREABLE RESULTS
Our number one goal is to unlock your child’s potential and get results. We take that responsibility seriously and are consistently driving toward measurable academic results for all of our students.
WE LOVE TEACHING
We really do love teaching and our enthusiasm is infectious. It might sound obvious, but students learn best from teachers who are passionate about their work. We promise to go above and beyond to help your child become their best.

Madelynn Roche
Elementary, Middle School, High School
Math, Test Prep
Madelynn graduated from Vanderbilt with her bachelor's degree in math and education, and she is currently a graduate student at Vanderbilt Divinity School. Madelynn believes that everyone is a mathematician and that mathematics is a tool we can use to understand the world around us. One of the things she finds most rewarding about math is that it is challenging; just like playing a sport, performing in theatre, creating art, or even mastering a video game, math does not come easily to most people (even most people who major in it!!). She believes some of the most rewarding parts of learning math are getting to see the world in a new and exciting way, understanding real-world issues more precisely, knowing how to justify statements logically, and seeing yourself as capable of doing hard things. Her biggest hope for students is that they develop a sense that they are “math people.” Madelynn has experience tutoring students in grades 4-12, planning interactive and engaging lessons, and tailoring her explanations to each student’s needs.
Matt Getz
High School, College

After graduation, he worked as an SAT/ACT test prep tutor for an ivy-league focused tutoring company. After a few years of tutoring, he moved to Nashville to become a physics teacher, which he did for several years but realized that he missed the one-on-one environment too much. He left the classroom a few years ago in order to tutor with me and lead small group advanced math classes at an enrichment center outside of Nashville. Subject-wise, he's masterful at teaching almost every subject--he does a lot of math tutoring and test prep for ACT/SAT.
